The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has raided two popular medical entrance preparation institutes–NAME and Orbit–in the Capital in suspicion of their operator’s involvement in the anomalies in MBBS scholarship exams, on Sunday.
The CIAA had arrested seven persons– including the director or Golden Gate International College, Devi Ram Pandey, and alleged racketeer Prabhat Kumar Kushwaha–for allegedly leaking and selling the question papers of scholarship exams conducted by the Ministry of Education yesterday.
CIAA Spokesperson Shreedhar Sapkota told THT Online that the anti-graft body has seized documents from the institutes today.
According to him, the CIAA is looking into the alleged anomalies in scholarship exams, and will see the seized documents also.
Also, the CIAA raided Kushwaha’s residence in Kathmandu and seized some documents.
