Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) has started its seventh edition of CAN Softech- 2014.
The four-day exhibition at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall has 142 stalls of 65 companies.
Inaugurating the fair at a programme, Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang said the fair will add new dimensions in the software services and information technology.
In a different context, Nembang said the January 22 deadline for constitution should not be extended in any pretext even if the internal timetable can be slightly altered.
Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Environment Krishna Chandra Paudel said country’s development will be greatly aided if science and technology is highly utilised.
CAN Chairman Binod Dhakal said CAN has been organising such programmes for the development of the sector since 2007.
Some companies have said they will launch new products from this exhibition.
A total of 150,000 visitors are expected in this Softech.
