Political leaders here submitted a memorandum to the District Administration Office on Sunday claiming of massive corruption in purchase of 15 bighas of land by Bharatpur Sub-metropolitan City as a replacement for landfill site.
The Sub-metropolitan has made payment of Rs 10.80 million with a rate of Rs 60,000 per kattha for the purchase of land in remote Ameliya of the district.
But, the land owner said he received money at Rs 30,000 per kattha only. There is difference of Rs 9 million in the amount paid by the Sub-metropolitan and that received by the land owner.
“Thus, one can easily guess of massive corruption,” the memo states.
Leaders of Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist), Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N), RPP, Rastriya Janamorcha, CPN(ML), CPN-Maoist, CPN Maoist and Rastriya Janamukti Party submitted the memo to Chief District Officer Binod Prakash Singh.
