UCPN (Maoist) senior leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai has visited former king Gyanendra Shah at a hospital in Kathmandu Sunday to get information about health condition of the ex-king, who had a stroke on Saturday night.
“Met with x-king Gyanendra Shah in Norvic hospital & wished him a speedy recovery from heart-attack. No politics, only human considerations!” Bhattarai tweeted after his visit today.
Leaders of various political parties, lawmakers and well wishers gathered at the hospital at Thapathali, Kathmandu to acquire information about the ex-king’s health.
The former king, admitted to hospital last night, is now in a stable condition, according to a team of doctors involved in his treatment.
Senior cardiologist Dr Bharat Rawat said Shah may be discharged tomorrow (Monday). Dr Rawat added that Shah was out of danger after receiving angioplasty and stent to fix the blocked coronary artery.
