The Nepal Dental Association organised an awareness rally from Basantapur today on the occasion of World Oral Health Day.
Inaugurating the rally, Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala expressed the view that there is minimal support from the government bodies in oral health sector.
Koirala said quotas for dentists should be increased from the district hospital up to the zonal hospital.
Similarly, Association Chairperson Dr Suprabhat Shrestha suggested to brush teeth twice a day with toothpaste along with fluoride and to visit dentists affiliated with Nepal Medical Council in case of any dental problem.
Association Secretary Subin Maskey also expressed his view.
The rally started from Basantapur concluded upon reaching the same place after passing through New Road, Ratnapark, Jamal and Indrachok.
The Day is marked on March 20 every year.
