The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Pokhara chapter has organised a peace rally, with a slogan of maintaining social harmony and end to strikes forever, on Friday.
Civil society representatives, entrepreneurs and businesspersons, representatives from NGOs and INGOs, women’s groups, teachers, students and members of the general public had enthusiastically participated in the rally.
The placards with the messages of peace and social harmony, children’s right to education and bandh-free Pokhara were carried by the mass of people.
The rally that began from the Gairhapatan, office of the FNCCI, turned to a large mass as other participants joined it while passing through the paths and corners of the city.
Bindu Kumar Thapa, FNCCI Pokhara president, requested the agitators to stop organising bandhs.
