All 13 people, three women and 10 men, on board the jeep that veered off a rural road and plunged down a slope in Histang VDC of Myagdi district died, police confirmed.
The dead bodies are scattered in the slope and security personnel are trying to collect them after carrying out legal formalities at the incident site, according to DSP Janardan GC,
“The bodies are scattered in very difficult terrain,” GC said, “We are tying ropes to reach there in order to collect the dead bodies.”
The victims include 12 passengers and the jeep driver, identified as Jham Bahadur Burja, DSP GC told THT Online over telephone from the incident site.
The ill-fated four-wheeler was heading to Beni from Ramche of Myagdi when it met with the fatal accident at around 1 pm.
After locals informed the District Police Office about the accident, a team of security personnel, led by DSP GC, was dispatched to the incident site for the rescue operation.
