Police said they detained 82 persons for enforcing bandh across the nation on Monday.
Of them, 80 are from the Capital alone including 72 from Kathmandu and eight from Lalitpur.
One person each has been detained from Makawanpur and Taplejung districts each.
The CPN-Maoist-led 33-party alliance and some Madhes-based parties had called for a two-day Nepal bandh for yesterday and today, against some provisions of the draft constitution.
The bandh enforcers torched and vandalised at least five vehicles in the Capital, according to police.
