Around 56 teachers in Dolakha district have resigned from their posts after the Dolakha District Education Office (DEO) started tightening the supervision of the school activities.
The DEO has intensified the monitoring of the schools following complaints from the guardians and various other quarters claiming that the schools in the district failed to provide quality education as the teachers has a trend of remaining absent in their schools regularly and giving the importance to their personal activities even in the school time.
The teachers have started visiting the DEO with their resignation after the DEO started regular supervision, said Shesh Kanta Poudyal, a school inspector at the DEO.
A total of 56 teachers including three each from lower secondary and secondary level at different schools have tendered their resignation as the monitoring was intensified, according to DEO, Dolakha.
The teachers, who tendered the resignation, are found involved in politics, associating themselves with different teachers’ unions and running various commercial organisations, he added.
