DoTM official suspended

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority today directed the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transportation to suspend, Dilip Singh Dhami, a computer operator at the Licence Section of the Department of Transportation Management.

Stating that he was involved in issuing driving licenses by flouting the Vehicles and Transportation Act, 1991, the anti-graft constitutional body directed the ministry to suspend Dhami.

Dhami has been accused of accepting bribes from various persons and issuing driving licences to them without making them follow the required procedures.

The CIAA ordered his suspension saying that there was possibility that he could destroy the evidences if not suspended.
