WHERE IS THULO SIRUBARI?
It’s about 3 hour’s drive from Kathmandu to the East in Sindhupalchowk district, one of the most affected by the earthquake. Thulo Sirubari translates, more or less, Big Siru-Grass Field.
Here’s the proposed 29km route. A shorter route will also be available.

6:00am breakfast (egg channa aloo chiya)
7:30am 29/15km race start
7:35am 1km race starts
8:00am 1km prize giving
11:00am 29km prize giving
11:30am lunch serving begins
14:00 bus departures
There are various options:
Stay in Thulo Sirubari (travelling from KTM Friday afternoon)
Stay in Dolalghat, Dhulikhel, or in a resort on the Bhotekosi river.
Come very early from Kathmandu

The last 4km of road is 4WD only. There is no good parking for other vehicles there.
Bus from Kathmandu to Thulo Sirubari – 3 hours + 1 hour walk (unless 4WD bus then 3.5 hours)
Private 4WD from Dhulikhel to Thulo Sirubari – 2 hours (Dhulikhel accommodation limited due to air workers)
Private 4WD from Kathmandu to Thulo Sirubari – 3 hours
Private 4WD from various Bhotekosi riverside resorts – 1 hour (call 9841229388 for Sukute beach)
Private 4WD from Dolalghat hotels – 1 hour
Including bus, food, water, fun and shelter at the village, chest number, certificate
