The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) in association with the US Embassy is organizing two three-day residential entrepreneurship boot camps within September 2015. There will be a total of 32 participants in each boot camp.
The first boot camp will be organized in February 26-28, 2015. This three-day boot camp will target people with a strong, demonstrable interest in starting, or being involved in, the creation of a new business. The boot camp will provide participants knowledge and experience in pursuing entrepreneurship. Particular emphasis will be provided to critical thinking process, working on business model canvas and on financial planning.
All the participants will get an opportunity to be a part of the vibrant community of aspiring entrepreneurs. This community will be a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to connect with seasoned entrepreneurs and experts. The community will also receive invitations to NYEF’s entrepreneurship-related events.
A week prior to the event, participants will be invited to an orientation program. The program will have a learning session on elevator pitching. Following the session, the participants will pitch their idea in 60 seconds. The ideas will then be voted by the participants and teams will be formed around the selected ideas. The team will then have a week to get to know each other before the event.
During the event, the teams will have intensive sessions on enhancing their understanding on starting a business, completing and presenting the business model canvas.
At the end of the event, all the teams will be presenting their business idea before the panel of judges. The idea selected by the judges as the strongest will receive access to pool of mentors as well as an opportunity to further work on their idea through the US Embassy’s business incubation or NYEF’s business accelerator program.
