Arghakhanchi Cement Real Estate E™xpo 2015 is scheduled to start at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu on Friday. Organised by the Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Association (NLHDA), the fifth edition of the fair aims to promote the real estate sector by providing a platform for housing developers and buyers to meet each other directly.
The four-day event will contain 150 stalls where housing developers will be showcasing their latest apartment and housing projects. Products related to housing construction and interior designing will also be displayed at the expo. Bank and financial institutions will also have their stalls.
NLHDA President Ichchha Raj Tamang said on Monday that the expo would provide information about the current scenario in the real estate sector besides housing and apartments on offer. He added that the exhibitors would focus on three Ps (products, pricing and promotion) through the expo. “For any business to be successful, the three Ps are important. So we will give priority to this during the expo,” he said.
Tamang added that this year’s expo would be more effective than last year in spreading the message that real estate had reached a more mature stage. “Real estate started recovering from the
last fiscal year, and the housing and apartment culture is also growing. The expo will thus play a very important role in reviving the industry further,” added Tamang.
The organizer expects three types of visitors, namely general visitors, people who have bought land and are planning to build a home and people searching for good apartments.
The expo will feature furniture and furnishing, plumbing and sanitary, housing construction materials, interior design, paint, pipe and fitting, among others.
Minman Shrestha, general secretary of the association, said the main attraction of the fair would be daily property tours to building sites.
“People will also get information about Vastu home design, eco-friendly homes, earth quake resistant homes, new techniques in home building, after sales service, home maintenance and house buying, budgeting and finance at the event,” added Shrestha. Various exhibitors will be offering their new products and services at discounted rates.
Ramesh Thapa, senior sales and marketing manager of Arghakhanchi Cement said, “We are excited to be part of the housing event as we started producing OPC cement four months ago with our own clinker factory. This event will be a very important platform to provide information to customers.”
The House of Rajkarnikar is the event manager of the expo. The organiser has expected 150,000 visitors and transactions of Rs2 billion at the fair.
